did you trade a Rubicon in for a Rincon?

What do you miss and what did you gain? Would you do it again? We ride double and are actually thinking on getting an 2005 Black Rincon GSCAPE. Having a hard time giving up the engine braking. We have 4300 miles and 518 hours on our 2001 Rubicon, that is an average speed of 8.3 mph. I am told there is no engine braking under 8 mph on the Rincon. Does the nice ride and bigger engine make up for that?
We don't mud and will leave the original tires on until they are bald, then will replace them with radials the same size.
If we do not get a Rincon, we will keep the Rubicon until it has at least 10,000 miles on it. Before today, the only new ATV we have considered (but have no intension of getting because ours is just fine) is a new Rubicon GSCAPE.
I would like your opinion on the pro's and con's between the Rubicon and Rincon. Selectable 4-wd is not important to us either. We will not consider any other ATV. I know there are other nice ones out there but we are not interested in any of them.
Thanks in advance.

Specta, I just sold my 2002 Rubicon with 1900 miles and bought a 2003 Rincon with 380 miles and I personally think it was a big mistake. While the ride quality on the Rincon is better than that of the Rubicon, that's about it in my opinion. Who knows, maybe there's something wrong with the Rincon I bought, but I certainly don't notice a 150cc power increase, and while the Trax-Loc feature is nice, it's not enough to justify getting rid of a Rubicon. I got a great deal on My Rincon (I'm into it less than $3500.00) so I probably shouldn't b!@#$% too much, but had I paid full retail, I'd be extremely pissed.
This past Saturday I went and did some work at a hunting ranch I belong to, and most of the day was spent stringing fence along a new cut made by a cat along the boundries. The cut was up and down several steep draws, but guys were hauling t-posts and spools of wire in and out with Ranchers, Rubicons, and a Kawasaki Bayou without a problem. I hiked in the first time, but later decided to save myself a hike back out and rode the Rincon in. It was all brakes going in, and all throttle coming back out. The Rincon has plenty of power, it just takes too much throttle to keep it going and there is absolutely NO ENGINE BRAKING BELOW 8MPH. I guess I'm just used to the way the Rubicon could crawl slowly up and out of a hole and the feeling of being 100% in control all of the time. One other thing, I wouldn't spend the money on the GPS feature on any of the Honda's. You can buy a hand held GPS with a ton more features for less money and you can take it with you in other vehicles, etc.
I know there are several guys who have sold their Rubicons to buy Rincons that are extremely happy, and who wouldn't hesitate to do it again, but I'm not one of them. I'm gonna try to either trade or sell my Rincon and get either a Rubicon, Rancher ES, or maybe even try another brand. The Rincon has it's place, just not with me.

Thanks for the input. The things you miss, engine braking and control, is what i don't think I want to loose. I am sure the Rincon will go where I want it to, but I really like having 5 speeds in low-range, and another 5 in high, not counting D1 and D2.
I do wish the ride was better on the Rubicon but the more I think about it the more I think we will keep our Rubicon. We figure we will keep it until it turns 10,000 miles and see what Honda has then.
I would have to ride one for a day before I ever considered buying one.
Thanks again

Thanks reconranger, I knew I would have your full support. High beams, not another darn electrcal gismo!! LOL
How is that new 450R treating you? I'll bet its a great ride!
Thanks for the input and enjoy the ride.
Specta
I know electrcal is more prone to problems than mechanical, no one can argue that. So far; 4328 miles, 518 hours, and ZERO problems with anything. Our 02 Rancher 4X4 ES only has 1200 miles on it and it has the same record. The automatics don't bother me, it is the difference in controll and function between the two that is my main concern. The engine braking of the Rubicon would be very tough to give up. I have only adjusted the brakes once in 4300 miles. I think I like having the choice of high and low range, ESP, D1 and D2.

TRX450R, I was sure those were two good reasons you bought one. I have never ridden an ATV with a manual clutch and haven't even ridden a motorcycle since my brother bought his new 1975 Triumph Trident. A good friend had a Wolverine and I should have ridden it when I had the chance. She sold it to get a (I hate to even say this) Polaris 500 Magnum.
