I have a SP 500 (non HO) and the fan will not kick on. I figure the thermostat is bad as the fan works when connected to power directly. I am wondering what part is the thermostat and how dificult it is to install.

In the parts manual for the 2000 Sportsman, page A13, part reference: 21, part number: 4010161 (thermal, sensor). Is this the correct part? or
