Joe Smith started the day early having set his alarm clock (MADE IN JAPAN) for 6am. While his coffeepot (MADE IN CHINA) was perking, he shaved with his electric razor (MADE IN HONG KONG). He put on a dress shirt (MADE IN SRI LANKA), designer jeans (MADE IN SINGAPORE) and tennis shoes (MADE IN KOREA). After cooking his breakfast in his new electric skillet (MADE IN INDIA) he sat down with his calculator (MADE IN MEXICO) to see how much he could spend today. After setting his watch (MADE IN TAIWAN) to the radio (MADE IN INDIA) he got in his car (MADE IN GERMANY) and continued his search for a good paying AMERICAN JOB. At the end of yet another discouraging and fruitless day, Joe decided to relax for a while. He put on his sandals (MADE IN BRAZIL) poured himself a glass of wine (MADE IN FRANCE) and turned on his TV (MADE IN INDONESIA), and then wondered why he can't find a good paying job in.....AMERICA.....

damnn straight. i saw somethig on mtv about this a few days ago about how the people that answer the phones on these tech lines are from like indonesia and they are taught to speak american and they pick fake names to sound more american.

 

Fake names aren't helping their accents. Called tech support for my computer, had to ask three times for someone that spoke a form of English.

But Polaris IS an american owned company and their profits and taxes go to the USA.I go through this on Harleys all the time.And I still try to buy MADE IN USA products any time I can.Oh BTW most of the parts on MY 1972 Harley are USA.And if I could get all USA parts for my Polaris I would.

Dano my Kawasaki is an A1 fully assembled just like the Polaris in the USA.
I own a Scrambler that I bought after the Kawasaki.
My point there is there is nothing and I mean nothing that is pure American anymore if you read my post again you will see that I included Artic Cat there as well that is another American Owned company as well as providing Polaris' profit and loss statement for 2002 in the links.

 

If I understand correctly , Suzuki owns a major portion of Artic Cat .

Kawasaki owns a huge piece of Suzuki .

Don't despair to much , assembly plants in the USA provide jobs and all these manufacturers are traded on the open market . One can live in any country and own a piece of Polaris , Honda, or Ching Yong Ting Widgets of Tokyo .

Ok , maybe not Ching Yong Ting ... :-)
