Default Stainless Bolts.

Anyone know where to get stainless metric bolts?

Stainless bolts arent the easiest to get, ESPECIALLY in fine thread[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif[/img] I go to a nut and bolt warehoue for those

I gaurentee they have what you need. They are just down the road from me,,,,,it is nice.

Default Stainless Bolts.

Also Remember Stainless fasteners are great at avoiding rust, (((BUT))) They are really no stronger that the standard fasteners.
For strength you a far better of with grade 8 fastener.

That right there is the reason why ALL the rusty bolts and nuts on my Harley were replaced with stainless steels nuts and bolts during the rebuild

When you go looking for stainless bolts make sure they are real,take a magnet stainless won't stick to it but fakes will.Just a little tidbit ---------bodean 02 500 hox sportsman[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

haha I will call them today, thanks.

I am using stainless for the same reason BiGBad said. I dont want to get this whole thing done then have bolts start to rust. Figured I would take the time and a little extra money now and keep this thing looking decent.

That right there is the reason why ALL the rusty bolts and nuts on my Harley were replaced with stainless steels nuts and bolts during the rebuild
Well strength shouldn't be a concern on a Harley, The bolts would vibrate out and need to be replaced every couple rides anyway. ( for that matter rust shouldn't be a concern)
