Default Belt defletion ?

You say you installed the stock shims...was it two .6 mm shims?? Kaw sells a 1.4mm,1.0,.08 and a .06.The two .06 is going to be 1.2.When I installed my new belt (a 650 belt) mine had a 1.4mm shim. You will probably need to go to the dealer and get a .6,.8,1.0 and a 1.4.That way you have it all covered.I cannot imagine needing anything more than a 1.4...............if you have the others then you can adjust it tighter as it wears.Have you been to NYROCS site?? Good info there.I used a 1.0 for starters on my new belt.
