If you didn't see my other thread "predator camber out of whack" here is the scoop, my right front tire was leaning at the top toward the quad and the bottom was slightly kicked out. I have never jumped this quad hard nor have i crashed hard its only 2 months old. I also noticed the upper aarm has a slight bend in it from the stress of the tire leaning in.

I checked it over and over every thing looked ok, then i said something has got to be wrong so i started to take it apart. The upper ball joint is **** after 20hours of light trail riding and jumping (i mainly dune ride) and the ball joints are wearing out!

Now i'm going to take it to the dealer and have them fix it, Polaris should cover the parts. The only question i have is will i have to pay for labor?


04 Pred owners check your ball joints they aren't fixed for 04.

 

i doubt they will charge u for labor, atleast my dealer didnt wheni had to take my tb back. u should find out if more people are having this problem to make sure it wont happean on the 05 preds

 

lol, 03's were junk... but they were replaced with a better ball joint for 04... maybe you got a left over junk one... lol
they should cover it all... if not tell em you know hozed... that'll get em to take care of it...

I bet they do after the non stop problems you had. I hope they do give me the run around i really don't like my local dealer they are a bunch of stuck up a$$ holes, can you believe they want 6,100 OTD for a 04 TLD pred and i got mine for 5,600 OTD only down side the dealer is 70 miles away...

 

lucky for me my dealer was great... my best friend worked there and i was pretty much on the payroll cause i was there so often... (and not only cause my pred was always breakin) when your dealer is your friend they tend to fight a lil harder to get your stuff covered.

 

ya wanna hear something real bad... i went to get some part a month ago because the parts guy give us money off because we bought some quads from him. so i was looking at a 03 pred and i go, how much u want for this??? the guy goes 6200 OTD. so i look at him wit a blank face like are u on sumtin?

u know unless u make sure to keep it well oiled and stuff on the dunes it will make them go bad unless ur careful and dont get the sand in there
