I have an 04 DS 650, I want either an z400 or Raptor, or in other words, a quad with reverse. I'm leaning towards the Raptor. What are your thoughts?

 

After riding the best you will be dissapointed with having alot less hp if you bought the Z. So I would get the Raptor (that hurt alot to say that). Makes me cringe thinking about driving a Rappy.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

coming from a ds i would go with rappy,because the z will feel real underpowered to you.

 

I agree. I rode my cousing Z400 several times before I got my DS and thought it was a great bike with good power. After riding my DS and jumping on his Z it now felt like a underpowered toy. It is still a good bike but you will have to spend some $$ on mods to be happy with the power compared to a stock DS.

 

maybe you should wait until suzuki comes out with there new 450. im not sure if it will have reverse though. but i think it's going to be one heck of a machine. and i agree with everybody else ialso think the 400 is a bit of a dog compared to the ds.

 

Z400. Or, one of the 450's if you want to go all out. Raptor is to narrow for my taste.

 

have you thought of the kfx700?? they are a great bike with reverse also. and they are not the slowest thing out there. when i first saw it, i thought, how dumb is that? an automatic sport quad?? and then my dad picked one up and it is nothing like what i thought. they are fun and have all the power you want. you can go as fast or as slow as you want. and with some mods you can really have a fast bike.

 

z400-more comfortable, less top heavy, all around better than the raptor everywhere except the drag strip

 

couldnt you just get a new transmition on the ds because the ds is built alot better i think and it is alot more powerful

 

more powerful yes...250 extra cc derr...but built better? explain there bro
