Ever since i have had to change my CV boots last year when one ripped, i have dreaded trying it again. My problem is with the outer, large clamp that holds the boot in place. i have got to find a way to put them on easier.. all i used was a pair of pliers and a set of snap ring pliers, and i bet i have over an hour on each boot. I recently had to put another of these clamps on, and i am not going to do it again the way i have been. I am spending over an hour on each outer clamp! What is the trick to putting these clamps on? How do you guys do it, and is your way any easier? I need to know before i have to put another one of these clamps on! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

they make CV boot,clamp pliers.never did the job so i dont know how much they would help..

 

The right pliers help a lot. Just go down to Autozone and borrow a pair. Thats what I did. They have that loan-a-tool program. Just a $10 deposit is all thats required
