NHRA drag races -- Darrell Russell loses his life
#1
I went to the first organized race I have been to in at least five years .
25 years ago I used to go to Gateway International and drag my RD 400's at a blazing time of around 15 seconds (ho ho ho) .
I must be getting older or wiser , or my testosterone must be dropping , the noise of the rail dragsters was more impressive to me than the times .
Racing is all in the name of entertainment , it saddens me to see a man get killed putting on the show .
I sometimes wish I was in the arena of making golf clubs . Rarely do you have a story of severe golf injuries .
I am rambling ~~~ and posting this anyway .
What do you guys think ?

I just sat there on the couch kind of in a blank stare look when the chairman anounced that he had passed away. One minute he's there and them he's gone. Very sad indeed. 35 is way too young to leave. God bless his family.

Rest assure, he passed away doing what he loved to do. May God rest his soul.
Reminds me of the reason I got out of drag cars. The nastalgia front engined digger just kinda humbles you when your onions are resting on the rearend.
