220LBS weight limit on the Raptor?!
#1
WTF seems sorta low if you ask me I expected a bit more. Any idea why it is so low and the consequences of say a 270lb rider riding one of these?

Its called escaping liability. The lawyers dont want to be liable for any issues that arise from busted axles, shocks, etc that theoretically could be caused by heavier loads. In other words, its just a guideline and has no real importance for the average rider.
My dad wieghs close to 270 and enjoys my raptor on a regular basis.

cause they cant build a stock suspension to support 125-300 lbs and ride well
and anything over that weight will cause the suspension to bottom out on a nice jump and create so much stress on the a-arms and whatnot that failure/injury is a given
so the designers/engineers said this is what the bike off of the showroom is warranteed for and anything over is on you
