All trail riders who ride a quad without reverse.

I just want to know what your opinion is for trailriding and reverse...........Is it a must have for you guys....or is it not that big of a deal...........I just want your opinion on it because I'm stuck inbetween two quads...one with reverse and one without..........honestly I don't feel like its that big of a deal...I usually don't use reverse that often when trailriding now but I also don't want to get the wrong quad and regret it later down the road if you know what I meen.

reverse is a luxury not a nessecity.
reverse doesnt really work that well on sport bikes anyhow
you have to plan accordingly (leave enough space to turn,,,,or park against a hill,,,,so you can nose up it,,,and then roll back as you 'k' turn)
I hardly use reverse on my raptor

i dont miss reverse at all with my lt250r.its light and usually can be wipped around with out getting off.i dont find it necessary to have.but on the other hand my sister has a predator and whet i took that thing out it sucks bad trying to get that beast around.i wouldnt buy one because of the lack of reverse and the weight.they turn pretty sharp but its rarly sharp enough.a few of my buddies ride 400ex and they arnt that bad about wippin around.but kinda on the hevy side to pick up if youre not that big.

Ya, well I have fallen in love with the 05 black trx...and its at the top of my list....and I figured for the most part you could just whip it around....like I said..I have reverse on the scrammy 4x4 and I hardly ever use it trail riding...I do use it sometimes though....But I'm 19 and I know I'm not lazy....so if I had to flip her around everynow and then then it wouldn't be a big deal....but I really don't think reverse is that big a deal....But I still would like some more opinions!

I'm sure glad I have reverse on my atv, I ride mostly at Turkey Bay Ky, its mainly wooded trails and hills, its not really nessessary, it sure makes it easier, especially when your already getting off your atv to move your kids bikes around...

I do think that all heavy bikes (mostly utility bikes) should have reverse.
The sportbikes are so light,,,,,,you can just pick em up if you get stuck.

For me, reverse is a must. If I didn't have it, my machines would be still be stranded on the mountain somewhere.

i get by without it but i'm getting closer everyday to swapping for one with reverse, have two disc fused together and two more injured. most sport atv's are light enough not to need a reverse, most but not my ds. like i said i get by without it but after a full day of riding in the woods i can sure feel it in my back that night.

Ridding with me reverse is a must.I get into some nasty non trail situations. Why are you wanting to get rid of your Scrammy? What you will miss is the 4x4.I have only used mine a handfull of times but it beat the heck out of walking.I checked out the Honda 450 yesterday and too me it looks too small. If I was to go to a sport quad with no reverese or 4x4 it would be a DS 650 mean machine now but I am a big guy too.
