Default I met a tree stump...

Hey guys its ThePredator...sorry bout this log in name crap. YEAH well anyways, I crashed my predator today. Nothing major I was only in second gear but I was crossing over some tall grass on my friends land and I didn't see the 5" tall tree stump, my left bottom A-arm smashed right into it throwing me over the bars. My head was pounding and my arm was throbbing, but my first instinct was to check out my quad, well at first i didn't notice anything thanks to the mud caked onto it. I got it back to the garage and in the meantime if cleaning it I noticed my a-arm was bent about an inch in. My question is this, the a-arm mounts or brackets don't look to be damaged at all, and from what I can tell everything else seems straight. She does pull to the left very slightly but nothing noticable. Is there anything that can result from this? Should I bend the a-arm back to the position it was in or should I just leave it alone. Like I said I don't think its anything major enough to replace. The bend in is right in front of the bracket close to the frame and ends about 3-4inches from the frame. Thanks guys and sorry for the long post...

My pred had a bend a-arm. The same one you describe. I didn't cause the bend a-arm, I bought it that way. I replace mine because I would think it would affect the handle of the quad and the steering geometry of the Pro Steering. Also, it was kind of not that much. It was only $84.79 OTD from the dealer. It alot better than paying $209 bucks for lonestar a-arms. So, I would recommend replacing it.

you could run the bent a-arm, as long as it wasnt TOO bent, and you re-aligned the front end.

as a personal preference, i would have a problem with running a bent a-arm, just because i dont like having a fu**ed up looking machine. but if money is an issue, adjust the tierods and run it till you can afford new a-arms.
