I am 13, and 6', and for the most part, built like an adult. I have rode on ATVs with my friends, and love it. I really want a quad, to ride with my friends, and trail ride. I live in upstate NY, in the mountains where it is muddy all spring and summer. I will be mostly be trail riding, and need something that can take a lot of usage. I can't afford much, considering my job, only 6 bucks an hour. My max is $3000, and that would mean me working my butt off for the rest of the summer. Does anyone have suggestions for a good quad that can be multi purpose also. I would appreciate it.

the best bet would prolly be a 300ex or 400ex.

Scrambler sounds like what you need. Just a pinch more than your budget maybe like 1500-2000 more.

 

are you looking for sport or untility type quad?

 

you could get a suzuki ozark... its not huge but you could fit on it, you could also look at a polaris trailboss like i have.. not the fastest thing but it is full size and you can get a good used one for around $2500.

 

if ur talking slopp mudd i would go with any 4x4 but if its not bad its gonna depend on ur riding. maybe like a honda 250x or a honda 300ex

I'm thinking about a honda 400ex. I have heard good things about them, and my dad's honda accord has lasted 15 years, and is still running strong. What do you think about atvtraderonline and ebay, are they good places to buy a quad, or is most of it fraud. I have heard on here about the fraud, and don't want to get scammed. Thanks

 

You should be able to find a 2002 or 2001 Honda 400ex in nice shape for $3000.

 

I think I found something good for the price. Does everyone here think that a 2003 honda rincon 650 for 3500 is good
