What is faster through a drag race? which bike has more top end? Will either bike outrun a KFX 700 ?
I heard tht a stock DS will outrun any other stok bike on the market, even a Raptor. Tell me what yall know.

Stock I dont know. I would bet it would be a close run between the DS and the YFZ. The extra RPM's on the YFZ means it wouldn't need to be shifted as much but the DS has a bit more off the line. I'd like to see it done. According to magazines the DS whipped the Predator and the YFZ had similar results against it. That's what I'm going by as I don't think any of the mags have done the race and published results.
The 700 gets stomped by the DS in drags both being stock. Basically the magazines said the 700 was 5 quad lengths behind on average. Automatics rob alot of power. I was disapointed back when I heard the 700 came as only an automatic. It would be an awesome motor with a real transmission attached.

I have both a DS and a KFX 700. It depends on who gets the hole shot between the YFZ and DS. In the long run, the DS can and will reel in the 450.
The KFX won't stand a chance against the 450, but on the other hand, I have royally spanked a Raptor with the KFX on the holeshot. On a longer stretch, the Raptor would win against the KFX.
The KFX against a Predator is even through the 1st 200 feet. After the Predator hits 5th gear, he'll walk away from the KFX also.

i've raced three yfz's and beat each. they were all stock and had young riders and i would bet it was their first time on an atv with any power. never raced a raptor but pretty sure i would be beat if he did anything to it since mine is stock and i've only been riding atv's for about a year. still have the street bike blood in me.

I've raced a few DS 650's, and this is what I've concluded...
I get the holeshot about half the time, and pull away until about 2nd gear by like 1 quad length...The DS then sticks w/ me, until 3rd, it starts to pull...thats just my experience...the YFZ is snappier, and lighter than the DS...so it gets the starts better much of the time, w/ its quick powerband....the DS obviously has a much stronger motor, so it pulls me later in the race...
although, I was absolutely TOASTED by a piped, jetted, DS with a stage 3 cam mod..that was a crazy bike. It pulled me through every gear..but if you do general mods, like pipe, jet, airbox...then the YFZ has a slight advantage, due to the fact that yamahas generally respond better to mods than most brand of quads..thats just my experience...
