Default gett me headed in the right direction with my jetting?

i want to remove the airbox lid, i currently have a full exhaust, k&n what jetting should i do? also the higher the number on the jets the richer or leaner? should i change the pilot change or change the needle clip position. i currently run a 162 main jet. please aim me in the right direction.

the higher u go the richer it is.. needle clip should be on or around the 3rd postion id go up prob 5 jet sizes at least if u take off ur lid maybe more.. give that a try and then keep richening it up till it bogs then drop it till it runs perfect

on the bottom of the carb not in the flaot bowl but outside on the bottom there is a flat headscrew tighten it allthe way tehn turn it left about 2 1/2 turns thats ur fuel air screw.. and try the 165 see how it runs.. do a plug check with a new plug(there is many upon manny of ways to do this in teh search feature) and if u need to richen it up then go buy a bigger jet from a shop or order soem online alrighty

also the lower u put the clip on the needle the richer it will run but mainly here is how it works the pilot jet should be fine the way it is.. it controls your idle gas , the needle is idle to mid range.., and main is 3/4 to full throttle..

if its not rich enough with teh 165 then put the needle position clip down to richen it..
i dont know how the yfz is.. but im assuming its like the raptor.. if so you can tell if its lean by putting the choke on a little bit.. if it runs better that way then its running lean also watch the tail pipe.. clean it up with a rag then run it and if its real sooty with black stuff when ur done ur running way to rich but if its just a little sotty then its prob just right if there is nothing there then ur prob running a bit to lean.

As far as the yfz is concerned.. i dont know whats involved but im assuming its similar to the raptor. and if it is then its not that hard. for the raptor all you do is take off the fornt plastics and then take off the gas tank take out 4 screws for the carb boots then flip the carbs undo 4 bolts a piece for the bowls then unscrew the jet then put it back in and reassemble..

if it were me i would do it, it will be a good thing that will give you power and its not to expensive.
