ok i fianlly got my starter going and now when i hit the button it goes the wrong way.. i never unhooked anything on the solnoid...umm i did have the starter off and pulled apart did i screw something up in there....??? this is crazy??

 

You have the wiring switched around on that starter most likely to have it run in reverse.

 

thing is there is only one wire..... the positive... its grounds on the motor.... please help?? quad drags are sat at the fair

 

I have heard of people hooking their batteries up the wrong way and actually reversing the polarity of the starter causing it to spin backwards.

 

i was just out in the garage, batt is hooked up right, solonoid is hooked up with positive... brand new back relay.. newer warriors only got one..relays are on right,

also the quad is a bit harder to push forward...also note i never unhooked any of the connections.. cept batt and starter and relays

 

Are you sure the starter is turning backwards? I don't want to sound condescending, but...you do realize that the starter turns the opposite direction of crank rotation don't you?

 

Have you hooked the battery up correctly?

yes i'm sure its going backwards...if it wasnt then the motor would turn over.... think i figured out y..suprized no one suggested it.. when i had the starter off it fell apart.. i must have stuck the brushes in backwards... and its reveresing the polarity of the magnets....

i'm getting ready to mess with it now... just thought of it..... later

 

if u dont figure it out by saterday u can always bump start the quad untill u can get it..
