do you leave it on or turn the valve off??? is it better to turn it off or leave it on?

 

i leave mine on, unless storing it for a while

 

The manual says to turn the fuel off when shutting the engine off. I have been doing this.

Old habit learned many years ago, I turn it off when not riding, storage or transporting.

 

I do every time.

 

I turn it off, AFTER THE ENGINE HAS COOLED. Modern fuels have additives that will leave a scum if they dry up. Let the engine cool, so the fuel doesn't evaporate from the carb and leave scum behind, then turn the valve off.
