Default 500 HO belt Question???

Hello all,

This is my first time posting. I was told that putting a 700 sp belt and weights on my 500 HO would somehow increase the performance of the 500HO...Is there any truth to this or has anyone here done it???

Thanks for any info...

Default 500 HO belt Question???

The 700 belt is a topic of contriversy. Some like it, others dont. The 700 belt is designed a little different on the side angles. *I did put one on my machine and it hooked up better than my stock belt. But, then I began to hear stories about how the belt way wearing grooves in the clutched due to its different angles. So, off it came. Now I run a Dayco Max 2 belt made with a kevlar type stuff. It grips just as well as the 700 did, but is designed for these machines. If you ar elooking for more performance out of your clutch, I would suggest a Heelclicker clutch kit.

And welcome to the forums!!
