Default YFZ & 22" paddles ?

Alright guys, as you know I just recently got my YFZ and am trying to sell my Rappy. I had just recently gotten brand new paddles for my rappy with specs of 22x10x11 10 paddle haulers. I used them for 10 minutes with my rappy and haven't used them since. How would these paddle tires work with my YFZ? is 22" to tall and is 10 paddles to much? I bought these spicificly for my Rappy's high HP and am really iffy on how they will work with my YFZ. I'm also curious what gearing to use with 22" paddles on the YFZ cause obviously I'm gonna be way geared up after I get those on. I'm going to buy a new 15 tooth counter shaft sprocket today to use with my 20" tires but I'll be way to high geared with that and 22" tires. Anyways...I'm startin to ramble so what do you guys think???

I second that idea. besides you want 8 paddles instead of ten.

Would I want 20" or 22"?? If 22" then how would I want to gear this thing? I've had the worst trouble finding the right gearing with 22" tires on my Rappy...any info would help.

I'd get either 8 or 9 paddle...I'm thinking around the lines of 9 paddle haulers because of future mods (pipe etc...). I've always liked the haulers alot too.

22" 10paddle, are going to be ok, if you get pipe, filter, jet, cammod. I think the hookup will be alot better with 22" 8paddle. Just use the 10padles for the YFZ.

Big Bubba- I have 22's and 20's for my YFZ, and I like the 22's way better. Mine are 22 inch 10 paddles also. I have ran both, and I reccomend you try the 22's. I have a full Yoshi exhaust system, a pro flo kit, and the cam timing mod, with the dirt bike needle! I like 22's better, and it has no problem turning the 10 paddles

Bigbubba-Ten paddles should not be too much for your yfz especially after you mod it as i think i remember you said you are going to do .You can easily compensate for the taller 22"tire with gearing but i am not familiar with the yfzs set up so you will have to experiment to come up with the proper sprocket size.I ran my 22"ten paddles last weekend on my new 690 and i liked them but i am going to try my 20" ten paddles because for some reason they seem to hook up better with the raptor.Keep in mind that the 22"tires will help keep the front end down with a stock swingarm because of the nose down attitude as compared to the 20"tire and that may be a help for drag racing if you stay with the stock length swingarm. Are you going to be out at comp hill in florence saturday?

remember too much hook up is also bad, you always want suffiecient wheel spin and tire rpm so you dont get bogged up. happens a lot of new hillshooters.
