Hey guys i am purchasing a 2004 600 twin Sportsman...Has anyone had problems with these?...It is a sweet machine i jsut hope all goes well with it...and i already know bout the cv joints (i had to replaced two on previous 500)...thanx for help...Oh and my friend also purhcased a 2002 Grizzly 660 will let you know bout tha results [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]...

go for the gold man a 600 will rock. with light mods they can really go, the only thing that they dont have is the recoil backup starter thats why i chose a 500HO and its said to be a little bit more reliable too. im sure that the 600 will treat you well.

I put 4800 miles on my 03 600 Replaced the belt at 3700 miles, everything else was original. Its a great machine, enjoy..[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

I LOVE MY 04 SP600 WITH 800 MILES ,iv added a k@n filter,big gun pipe ,jeted carb, liftkit and 26s with 589s and a dalton clutch spring kit, lots of power, enjoy yours,steve

Is that 600 an 04.5 with the higher compression version? That's what I have and can't find any after market parts for it. I wonder if it is a hassle for the performance companies with 2 different 600 engines for 2004, maybe that's why parts are scarce. Anyway, let me know if you have the same machine and if your eshaust was designed specifically for it.

my exhaust is really for a 2003 700 but the pipe and muffler bolted right up with no problems on my 04 600, i got the complete set up on ebay for 200.00 like new cond.

Yup, that's what I thought, I'm too chicken to mess with anything that isn't designed specifically for my machine.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img] I've also heard that I would get more out of a clutch mod...just don't tell the wife of my plans.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

Ya I heard Polaris didn't do a good job with the clutch...like they are holding back power because of it...im gonna get a bigfoot clutch kit for it...supposed to really open it up...ya i got high compression 04.5 model...an it is hard to find parts...
