Ok...had the Banshee for 2 weeks, and it seems I have bought into nothing but problems.

As I said earlier, the Banshee sat for 2 years, well I have changed the bearings and everything went great for a DAY.

Then it cut off on my g/f...it took like 30 minutes to get it started again. As soon as you quit giving it gas it would die again. We sat an hour and a half trying to crank it, I changed plugs and everything.

Well I noticed the fuel looked a little low, so I put fuel in it today and it drove great for an hour. My buddy just got here, and we were going to go riding. It cut off at the end of our long path and we had to push it back, still will not start.

Supposedly Yamaha serviced this bike before I got it, cleaned the carbs and whatever else they do.

I tried blowing into the line to make sure there was no gas in it.

Any idea what could possibly be wrong now?

Well dude 2 years is a long time for a bike to sit without starting it up lol. Even if Yamaha did clean the carbs two years ago, its still two years ago. If I were you I would clean those carbs out again real good with some carb cleaner and then use compressed air to dry/blow everything out. Also, I would run the bike for 10-15 minutes if you can get it going and then shut it off and drain the bottom end fluid out and replace it with fresh fluid. By running it for a few minutes first this gets the existing fluids hot which allows a better and more throuough flush.
Also, if I were you I would check the compression to see if your bike perhaps needs a top end rebuild. As stated before, 2 years is a long time for a bike to sit. In two years gaskets can rought, fluids can turn into molassus (sp lol), jets can clog from existing crud drying up in them ect. Also, did you buy the bike from a nearby location? If not then your jetting might need to be adjusted, you did comment on how the bike wouldnt idle.

Just go over everything with a fine tooth comb. There is no such thing as a bad bike, just an untuned or unmaintenanced bike. Good luck!

A friend in the quads,
Jose

Ok, not sure what happened but it is running fine now.

Only other thing I seem to be having a problem with is how easy it floods. Like for instance a friend accidently rode it yesterday with the fuel off. When i realized the problem it would not fire back up until I let it sit for 20 minutes.

Tonight, it fired up when I was taking it back to the shelter.......I went to take off, and I guess it wasn't warmed up and shut off...now it will not start. I know when I go out there in 20 minutes or so, it's going to work.

What could be causing it to flood so easy?

Carbs were just cleaned 2 weeks ago when I bought it?

Another thing it has done two times, once today. When I started it and revved it...it didn't rev?

Instead of getting loud and revving through the engine, it made some kind of bogging down noise and it all seemed to come from the front...like no sound out the back whatsoever...sound like it was starving for fuel, or like water was all in it.

Any suggestions on that?
