modded raptor/modded banshee-who would win??
#1
Here we go, got my sons banshee back, has port work, milled head, reeds with spacers, boost bottle, fmf pipes with pcII silencers -- challenger will be a 686 raptor, who will win, can let you know final results when the raptor gets ready...
should we get bigger carbs for the banshee, if so what size, or will the stock 26 work better????
thanks

No real need for bigger carbs, you could get the stockers bored to 27.5mm but spending money on bigger carbs aint worth it unless you are talking about an all out alky dragster wich i dont think is the case here.As for who will win I cant say, it depends who did the port job on the Shee and how extensive it was.

is boring out the carbs something I can do, or do you send it somewhere, the porting was done by jrperformance, dont know the the detials like mild, drag, told him what we were after and he said he could fix us up, it screams, but we don't have any 686 raptors around here, well, we will have once the other guy gets is, going to be interesting!!!!

I have a friend who has a 2004 banshee that he just got piped with Toomey T5 pipes. Other than the pipes and the K&N air filter that he put on it, the bike is completely stock. We went up to St. Anthony's in Idaho last month and I have a 2002 Raptor with a 686 kit on it and all the specs below. Well anyways, it was a tight race on flat ground, but i pulled away at the end. As for going up hills, it was pretty much dead even except for he was able to pull away at the end because he could climb the steepest hills in third gear and i could only do it in second. So overall, i think the banshee would win with the work that you say is done to your son's bike.
