Default Raptor geared wrong or....what?

SO the only riding I have been doing since I got my raptor 3 weeks ago is at the local MX track. I have noticed that on this type of track that I NEVER get out of third gear. it's alweys 2nd ...3rd....2nd....3rd However it seems that 3rd too much too. In other words. 2nd winds out pretty fast and then when I put it in 3rd it begins to bog unless I throttle hard. and sometimes I'll be coming around a 90* turn ready to hit a big jump but the gearing is all wrong 2nd is wound out and 3rd doesnt have the power to yank me up the hill? what gives? gearing? jetting?? lemme know...

I don't ride MX but it sounds like your gearing isn't right for the track. Try going up in gearing (if you are running stock gearing now 13/40) run like a 14/40 or even 15/40 and run 1st and 2nd. Or go down in gearing to get the power you need in 3rd maybe a 12/40 you will wound 2nd out faster but 3rd should have allot more power.

Later,
Mike
