My friend has a YFZ 450 and he's heard about this cam mod. He is not quite sure what it involved, so I'm hoping someone could tell me what it will do and how to do it? Both him and I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

I'm having a hard time installing a Maier kill switch. Can anyone tell me the easiest way to go about it?

 

rdg72.........you might pm Hozed before you do your cam mod........I know he had some troubles with it, and if anything else, he knows it like the back of his hand. Good guy too!!!

 

Whats the difference between getting the hotmcams or the webb cams and just retarding the timing one tooth?

Retarding your exhaust cam one tooth (the cam mod) simply changes your exhaust timing.

A set of cams changes the lift, duration, and timing of the valves. With the web cams, you can also retard the exhaust cam one tooth for a power increase.

What performance difference would you expect from retarding the timing V.S Just Buying new cams ?
