MBRP pipe fpr Rincon
#1
Hi all, Just got and installed a new MBRP pipe on my Rincon.
I have already modified my quad with Quadworks jet kit and K&N Filter.
Just added the pipe and have now been on two rides.
What a difference. Better throttle response and more bottom end torque for the muskeg holes.
Muskeg is Canadian for a really really big mud hole, that is not clay or sand bottom, but black humous mud. If you cannot stay on top, you sink a very long way before she starts to float, you hope.
Anyway, I degress from my orriginal topic. MBRP PIPES are at WWW.MBRP.com. The actual quad page is at http://MBRP.com/atv/index.html. You may not see a listing in their page for the 650 Rincon, but their part number is 91-AT6109. You can Email them for the nearest dealer in your area to purchase one of these all stainless steel beauties.I beleive they sell for about $299.95 US$ and for the Canadians, about $499 CAN$. Prices may vary from dealer to dealer.
The pipe is very easy to install and fit perfectly. The hard part was to dissasemble all of the Rincon plastic and reassemble it. Took me less than 3 hours total. The rumbiling sound is awwsome. The pipe exit is about three to four times the size of the stock pipe, giving it excellent breathing.
I am still fine tuning my jets for the elevations I ride at. About 3000 to 6500 feet normally. Will let you know what my final tune is when I have it running at top performance.
Hope you all find this info useful from a not to much heard of Canadian made Pipe.

MBRP has been on the scene for quite a while, a lot of us had been looking into it, but after spending over a year waiting for them to get back to us about a USFS approved spark arrestor, we just forgot about them, looks like they gave up trying to get the certifications needed to make them trail legal here. Too many areas in the U.S. are cracking down on noise and/ or spark arrestors, so not being USFS approved hurt their chances at big sales here.

Congrats on the new pipe, it really opens up the plugged up Rincon.

Hi Yellow 650 Rincon, I hear you.
We have a simular problem in Canada not being able to get your products sent here. I had a FMF Powerline pipe on order since Jan 4/04 and finally cancelled it after 6 mos. of hollow promises and bought from the East.
I plan riding in Oregon next summer. I hope they don't shut me down with my pipe. Mabey I will bring the stocker along just in case. It would be a bummer if I hade to switch back to stock to be able to ride the beaches and sand down there, because my pipe did not have the proper US approvals.
I do not think it surpasses the noise limit, but it might be real close. Don't have access to a decible meter to find out. I know it has a nice throaty sound, but not over bearing like a race pipe.
Guess we will try and see what hapens.
Can anyone suggest areas in Oregon Coast that would allow primitive camping and riding from the campsites? Also looking to see the Red Wood Forest. Thanks for any info.
