Default high revving, constant plug fouling

My 87 zilla revs very high at times for no reason, i have heard that these are commmon and are possibly air leaks, My zillla also fouls plugs alot and the guy i bought it from just said that it was a race quad and that it needs to be run wide open or they will foul, i thought maybe he might have been putting too much spectro into the mix well if anyone has had any of these problems it would help if i knew what to do about it. it has a few mods that i know of over forty and a fmf pipe maybe more i dunno yet.

just for the he!! of it clean out the carb. check inside the carb that the float isnt stuck and some thing isnt holding the choke element inside the carb.

as far as the reving it does sound just like an air leak . prolly at the back of the cylinder or around the intake . check to see if the plug is the right one . b8eg

Can you get this thing to idle?

My 250 would rev irratically at times for no reason and no matter how hard I rode it the plugs would eventually foul. My plugs always had some carbon build up on them. Turns out it was time for a rebuild....
