My dad is starting to lean towards buying a Magnum 325 4x4. I was wandering what other people think of this machines, handling, reliability, mudding, small jumps, and speed. I have heard that it only goes about 35mph, if this is true are there any mods I can do to get more top end and about how much they would cost?

Thanks

i just traded my 325 4x4 for an exp 425..it was a good machine..for me it was a bit underpowered and it would top out at about 38-40 mph..i dont know about jumping as it weighs 620 lbs..as for reliability it was pretty good,at about 65 hours i did brakes all around, due to the fact they put cheap pads in at the factory and i did alot of mudding..only problems i had with the belt really was because i got the belt wet..when driving in deep water you have to aproach it slow,in low and keep on the gas to prevent this, guess i learned the hard way.i think it was an excellent mudder, just buy a winch to help..its a good all around bike for trail riding, mudding and even some hill climbing..its also an excellent work horse.. i beleive that ritter racing has a bore kit for like 400.00 that make sit a 414, or you can get there stage 1 kit for like 325.00 i beleive it only adds like 15% h.p. check with others on that

Hey Magnum00,

My dad likes the 3254x4 also, I like the looks of it. He said we might be buying it if theirs not any other ones he likes.

But I think we should stick with Honda.

I got to ride my friend Barrys 325 Magnum back in July on a Poker run.I found it to be quit a nice 4x4.It seemed that I could really notice the power differance from riding Barrys 325 over both my friends 335 Sportsmans.Barrys seemed to have the power egde. The power differance was noticable.I was impressed.Nice quad I think.====Bill

Jeez, Magnum00, I have had my 325 Mag4x4 for over a year and I haven't had any problems with it.
On Wednesday I went riding with 4 other guys that I work with. One was on a new Honda 450ES Foreman, 2 of them were on new Prairie 300 4x4's and the other guy was riding a new Traxter...HUGE machine, by the way, and all of the bikes were rode hard and put away wet. The 325 Mag was able to go with all of them, although I did tip mine over on top of myself...hee hee.
Actually, the Traxter had the most trouble because he hit a rock and ran his off the road and almost lost it over a cliff, and another time ran up a tree and flipped it over. I would blame this on the fact that the Traxter is just a huge bike and was having problems on the narrow trails that we were riding. This guy isn't a novice rider, either.
I'm rambling, sorry. The 325 Mag is a neat bike, very capable, but I don't recommend it if you're going to need to hop it up for more power. I plan on getting rid of mine and buying something else.
Make the old man spring for a 500 Mag with EBS. Tell him not to be so cheap and do it right the first time.

Have two 325 4 x 4's in the family, no major problems, both run just fine. Great machine for the price.

Who said you shouldn't jump it?

Take a look at http://ip.pt/~ip001307/Magnum_air.html.

The biggest problem is that the bike is a little front heavy, you have to correct that tendency when you jump. I don't plan on jumping it a lot, this was just to show that you can jump with it!
