Just ordered my Mr. Horsepower downpipe and ported intake and just wondering what I may have to jet up to here in Louisiana. Im running a 175 with a K&N filter right now? Any suggestions.

I am not trying to be funny, but I would probably wait to put the pipe on in if it were mine until I had a Carb to go with it at least. When I see a quad with a drag pipe, I thinks its gonna be something bad! But if its stock other than the pipe...I know it just an opinion, but its mine and we all have one.

I love my 46hv, but talk to mrhp. He will set you in the right direction. The intake and exhaust is a step in the right direction, but it still needs to get more air. Talk to Eric.

I think you will see a huge gain as long as your jetted right... I would start w/ a 185 to be safe, And the lectron 48hv has been a good carb...I would take the air box completely off also. I would like to hear how it runs, even w/ the stock carb...

Thanks for the advice ANNIHILATER. I will start with the 185. Now as far as removing the air box, will I need a filter for the 2 small hoses connecting to the front for the air box?

I dont think so, You might want to try just takeing the air box lif off first... Eric should know the right set up for your mods. You might want to richen your needle also. This pipe needs alot of fuel down low.

Thanks, I will see what he has to say whenever he confirms the shipment since Im in line to get the next intake and pipe. This pipe should handle all the mods I decide to run shouldnt it?

Yes, I have a highly modded motor and It handles it WELL. It doesnt matter the mods, That pipe make power all over the place. Stock or built youll see the difference. You might want to go up one tooth on your counter sprocket.
