Aight, i just got my Raptor 350 3wks ago. I rode my friends honda 300 and forgot how much fun these things are. I haven't rode in like 12 yrs so i have been "out of the sceen" i guess. I did not realize when i bought it that you could do all these things to it. Everybody that sees my raptor are like "what mods you got" I have already gotten used to the thing and am ready for MORE POWER. What sort of things do you sugest i do to it, with out dropping $1,000 per mod. I am talking little add ons and tweeks. What is this jetting thing and how reliable are they? do these machines come with governers? You know all those newbie questions.

For now, Go with a pipe, maybe a K&N and jet it. that would be my first step.

 

get you a 14t front sprocket,this helps strectch out the gears and give you a little more on top end,this is great for trails.like lomax said pipe,filter,jet kit is a start.

 

jetting is done in the carbs. what happens is when you put add ons that increase airflow, you need to increase you gas flow as well. what jetting does is changes your fuel jets to alow more fuel into the motor.

 

aight, so moldy your saying that jets are like bigger badder fuel injectors right. so if ii get a less restricted air filter and pipe, i should get a new fuel injector. is that how it works. basicaly like any vehicle motor i guess. i am just not down with all the atv lengo.

so these things come in packages right. all ready tunned to each other. what name bands should i search on the internet for. i see there are already a couple posted up there. give me more and the best but least expensive.

and if anybody is in the atlanta ga area and has good riding spots let me know i am looking for cheap places to ride. i like to try and jump as high as i can and the only place i have acctually been to is town creek trails and durham town. Durhamtown, by the way is awsome, if you ever get the chance to go you should.
