i am takeing the rcr kit off and i dont remember what the stock position is for the e-clip any help would be apprecated...

2004 tb with k&n hpd pipe and clutcj kit. 150 jet clip in 3rd postion and still running rich any ideas?

 

Jay! Why are you takeing the kit off. Does your wife not like the performance? And yes it is the 3rd position. But now that it is getting cold you might want to richen it up a tad. Go 2 from bottom.

Paul! Where is it running rich at. What throttle position. If you have just a pipe and airfilter you might want toy try a 140-145 main.

 

I have a clutch kit,pipe (HPD) and k&n air filter I am at 3000 and under for elevation. It seams to be sluggish down bottom. THe guy at HPD told me to get a NEW slide that the clip goes into. More money that they don't tell you about when you buy their stuff. Paul, are they wanting you to buy a slide with a larger cutout?

Well, sounds like that's what they want you to do. If you look at the back part of the slide it has a cutout spot on the air filter side. You can get slides made with different cutouts. They are sold by numbers IE 2.5, 3.5,etc. Most of the time the range is between 2 and 4 in .5 increments. That measurement is how many millimeters each is cutout. The smaller the cutout the richer it will be at part throttle and vice versa. I am surprised that they want you to buy a new one. Most of the time the slide is a rare thing to change and you can usually cure it by changing the needle.
