i have a 98 trail blazer i bought 2nd hand its been bored 30 over and the head has been decked 15 or 30 not sure. i believe it has a pipe and it has a k&n filter. it bogs out at about 1/2 i have a 165 jet in it. i am at about sea level. if you can help with a better jet or have suggestions i can try to get it runnning better i would really appreciate it.

Sounds like you may have to move the needle clip down one notch,this will give you a little more fuel in the midrange.When it bogs you should kill the bike and look at the plug,then let us know what it looks like.

 

i have had the clip in every position, the needle all the way down works best of all. i just boged it out and cut it off and checked the plug and its a black/brown color.

 

Try going down one or two sizes on the main and see what happens.Also check and see what the setting is on the air screw,it should be around 1 1/2 turn from bottom.

 

a 155 or 160 to besafe wouldbethe best
