Default Twin Air or K&N

Which would be better on my 700? The salesman I bought it from said I should go with the K&N. What do you all think?

If you ride alot in dusty conditions, then get a twin air, or foam type filter. Now if you just ride on trails and mud, and some sand, then go with the K&N.

I have the K&N and have no regrets

They say the K&N is for controlled conditions like the drag strip--They definitely flow better but at what cost?? It only makes sense that they will let more fine particles into the carb---I have ridden with guys that have had dust coated on the inside of the carb (real fine, but you could wipe it with your finger) that had used K&N---I have a twin air, and i notice no difference between it and the stocker----you might want to consider running the stock filter---i know that i switch between the two and notice no difference at all.

My experience:::::: I have used K&N's for years with no trouble, the other day I decided to clean mine it was coated pretty bad, I pulled it off and there was NO dust or dirt what-so-ever on my velocity stacks or area inside where the filter sits at all on my P700....The key with K&N is you MUST use the right amount of oil to catch the dirt and dust, I use a little more oil than is recomended.......remember, the oil catches the dirt not the filter......Not passing judgement but I would say that if someone is having trouble with the K&N's they are not useing enough oil...........

I like the twin airs compared to the K&N because they are compact so I can carry spares. That way I can go for a long weekend and swap filters out if they get clogged with dust or mud and not worry about cleaning them until I get home.

I got mine at rockymountainatv.com as they seem to keep a good stock on hand so things ship quick and they seem to have good prices.
