are there any down sides on removing a air box lid

more dirt can get into your filter if u dont have an aftermarket filter and aouterwear. i took mine off and did that and worked fine for the past year.

The downside is that your airbox can become a sandbox. I like a vented lid, but don't like to run completely without one. I now am using http://www.ehsracing.com/
