i posted awhile ago about my 97' polaris explorer 3004x4 not starting even using the pull-start. So the thing has been sitting outside under a atv cover for many weeks and i have not wanted to spend anyMORE money cause its not worth a whole lot anyway. but today i went outside and pullstarted it just because. it started with the first pull of the cord, but started smoking out the pipe like crazy. and if i didnt keep on the gas it would die. and when it worked right before it had major problems it would grind the gears everytime i changed them (yes i was completely stopped). so this atv is probably on its last leg. but why would it start a few weeks later, i tryed starting it even last week and it didnt show any sign of working.when it worked i pull started it and i may have not put the cord back in all the way. i went in some water and may have gotten water in the engine or something i dont know that much about engines and stuff. Any help?
