I amlooking for a 82-85 Honda trike for crusing around at the lake as my neighbours are getting pissed at me booting around on my Kawi V force 700 piped and snarly. I want a trike just for farting around, going to the store, down the beach for a beer etc. What is the best in the 82 to 84 model Honda?. Also what are the main diffs between an EX , X, R or Big Red??? thinking of a 250 but will get a 200 if the price is right. Probably will not mod it out. I have the 700 and sleds for spemding the money on!!

R = 2 stroke and fast.......not ment for "farting around" pluss if you bought a 250r with some mods it would make your 700 look bad [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
the Big Red is the "farting around" work horse of the bunch they are geared low and fun.
Did you mean "ES" instead of "EX"?

 

also, the difference between an X and an EX are kick start ( X ) and electric start ( EX ). Try to find you a 185s or 200s there both good for what you are wanting.

200es big reds are a workhorse of a machine---theyll take a beating like nothing ive ever seen...there also i think the simplest to work on....

 

I ended up buying a near mint 85 Big ReD 250ES. $1,500 canadian All my lake neigbours cannot believe this thing is almost 20 years old. It is a hoot to drive and great for moving stuff around. A lot of metal. little plastic (other than fenders) and rock solid power for a 250cc 4 stroke.

Any idea what the HP is on this thing?? . LOVE the 25 inch tires!!!
