Default banshee throttle trouble

The quad wants to die sometimes when you let off the throttle unless you push just a little on the finger part. I remember reading about some safety switch or something. How do I fix this? Wife is getting tired of it.

I dont know exactly what could be wrong, but if this is happening because something just isnt set quite right, theres a couple things that could be the culprit. Check to see how far the throttle limiter screw is out (max 12mm). If its more than that it might cause a problem. Or, check your idle. If it idles too low, just turn it up a little. I dont know what else might cause it do stall, but try those things and hopefully thats all it is.

Does that banshee still have the TORS installed? That switch is related to that. Just unplug that switch...follow the wire down....You will find a connector.

Also make sure there is enough free play in your throttle. Somewhere around 3 to 4mm will be fine.

Unplug the TORS all together. Little black box under the gas tank. Has a bundle of 3 wires that goes to a triangle shaped plug. Unplug the triangle shaped plug and your problem is solved.

What exactly is the tors? I unplugged the connectors and I'll see next time I ride. Doesn't do it much just enough to irritate. Thanks everybody for the help.

Throttle OverRide System. It shuts the motor down if the throttle sticks open. Mainly it just causes problems. I have seen banshee that are less than a year old with the TORS defective.

I unplugged the tors today and that didn't fix it. There is a microswitch up by the thumb throttle when it makes it kills it. I unplugged and it wouldn't run. The only adjustment I saw was the max throttle deadstop. Any ideas guys?

Sounds funny, but how much fuel is in it? When my Banshee gets to the last gallon, it does the same thing unless I turn the tank to reserve.

If you unpluged the TORS, that micro switch is deactivated.

The tors is unplugged off the carbs and that throttle switch is a normally closed switch and if you let the throttle hit the switch it kills it. I unplugged the coupler behind the radiator and it won't even run. It seems to be doing it's job I'm just trying to figure out what that is. Also It has about a half tank of fuel so I put it on reserve and nothing changed. It's just setting in the garage.
