Default 400ex Headlight Prob

The other night i pulled up behind my truck in the garage and in the reflection i noticed only one headlight was workin, but that was on high beam, when i put it on low beam both came on. Is the way it supposed to be and ive juss never payed attention or is sumthin wrong because my friends warrior is the same way 1 light on high both on low. If this is not right what do i need to do. Thanks

that one high beam may be shot, cause there is two filements in those headlights i think.

The bulb is not blown and yes it does have have two filaments never thought of that ill try to get someone to look at it...................itll go through pretty much anything as long as you dont bottom out which happens a lot cuz it dosent have very much ground clearance but as long as you stay outta deep ruts your good to go

My headlights do the same thing. Both bulbs are fine and I've cleaned up the connectors behind the bulb well with no luck. I don't do a lot of night riding but I don't like having the lights not work right.

Check your switch too on the handlebar. I also had the positive wire brake loose inside the plastic cover. It was on my 2003 when it was only about a month old. I had to resolder the wire.

Actually, you can forget this advice since one side is working fine.

dynofox, the bulbs can look "ok" but can still have a problem. Perhaps you have a wiring problem? Check for power on the high-beam wire of the bulb in question, or simply swap bulbs from left to right. If the problem follows the bulb, then you have a bad bulb. It problem stays at the same light, then you have a connection/wiring problem
