Default Painting Hubs

Has anyone painted their hubs. I have thought about priming them and spraying them with body matched paint. I think they look like crap in their stock metallic glory, and I want to help them out until I get some billets. Any info?

I just painted mine yesterday.I took them off ruffed them up with sand paper and painted them with red metallic paint from the auto section of walmart.I didnt prime them or nothing. They came out nice.Iput grease on the threads and after iwas done the grease and paint wiped right off threads. If you have the time put a couple coats of clear overpaint to really make it shine.I had to put mine back together same day and didnt have time for clear coat.

Ive had great luck powdercoating parts for my quad. The paint coverage is outstanding and the finish is great. What is nice is that there is usually a "lot" charge and you can powdercoat quite a bit for a cheap price. The only advice I have if you powdercoat is make sure you are absolutely clear on areas you want masked off or it will be a bear chipping it away. Pay for the clearcoat after powdercoat, it makes the colors jump out.
