I have just discovered my park brake assembly is all corroded and rusted solid, which in turn will not allow me to change my brake pads. I cannot decide if i should replace the guts of the assembly or buy a block off plate kit. Has anyone blocked off the caliper before. If so what do i do with the two switches located in the clutch lever assembly.

the blockoff plate is just for the parking brake and the foot brake will still be connected to the caliper so it is not totally disconnecting the caliper.

Go out and buy an aftermarket clutch perch and lever. Simply disconnect the switch and unplug it. Also remove parking brake cable. The end result is a cleaner appearance and improved clutch action.

I did that with my warrior the other day and it was really easy...my buddy unplugged the electrical plug from his parking brake on his 2000 banshee and it wouldn't rev anymore (just like the parking brake was on and plugged in)
anybody know why? and how to get around it

Your buddy needs to cut and connect the two wires together.
