I say get a warrior because I just wouldn't mess up a perfectly good 400ex if you were talking about hill climbing or jumping Id say 400ex because its better for that

the warrior will back-up if you need to. Water can be too deep for either quad.

Ive noticed in a bunch of your replies you compare how sport quads perform in mud if all your wantin to do is mudride then get a utility quad youll be alot happier. Sport quads will go through more mud than you might think they would sometimes but theyre made for haulin A$$.

Well how come my 250 fourtrax doesn't go through mud as easily as my friend's 400ex?

The scrambler would be my choice for going through mud.

the reason i dont buy a utility is because i dont want one....I have one and i dont like it, its wicked slow and handles like crap.....I dont want a wolverine because i hate all time 4wd and i know blah blah u can buy a 424 well i dont want to and the wolverine is way under powered, I had thought about the scrambler but after seein how many problems weve had with our sportsman and the trouble we get from our dealer i dont think i will ride a polaris again. O and i hate automatic transmissions! Im comparein sports quads in mud to see which is a more go everywhere fast quad. I like a light fourwheeeler that does over 50mph and is fun to ride. Please do not let this statement start up a stupid brand war.

I say throw some mud sharks on a 400ex, and give her he!!. jed250, a 400ex has more torque, and more tire spin, which gets it through stuff better than the, should I say weak 250.
