I think it will come down to three machines - The Prairie 700, the Brute Force 750 and the Suzuki King Quad 700. Everything else will be left in the dust!!!

ATV Television will be doing a quick comparison on Sep. 6, 9, 11 between the Brute Force, Polaris EFI, and the new King Quad. There is a just a small mention of it at this point, but you guys know where the site is at. Some will be surprised I suspect. Some, will likely be downright irritated.

Moo,
WheelCow

P.S. They review the Brute on Aug. 30 and Sept. 2, 4.

I think the KQ700 will take the top spot overall.

I rode several EFI 700's and that wont be the one. Good machine but dosent have the quickness of the P700

Don't tell them that. EFI owners think they have the fastest one out there. Even though my Rincon can outrun one with relative ease.

I would not be surprised at all to see the p-700 with the solid rear axial win a true shoot out. Not a commercialized one to sell the latest machines. Lets face it, comfort is great and irs makes for a much cushier ride. Efi on the KQ takes care of elevation changes.
I love my friends grizz ride over rocks, even though its scary on fast corners.

I would bet the low center of gravity solid rear axial p-700 would kick butt on any of the upcoming quads. If they were to race through different conditions with no commercialism to sell the latest and greatest.

Maybe I'm bias because I have one. But I know for a fact magazines are bias my brother works for one, (not an atv mag) and money talks.
Example the Artic Cat 650 with the p-650 engine was named atv of the year by an unmentioned magazine. (What a joke) The Grizzly, twin peaks, and Prairie will run circles around it.
Money talks.

Think about this.

It totally depends on if the shootout becomes a drag race. If they go with the fastest quad as the winner, then the shootout is pointless. If they factor in lots of different things, then its up in the air. This is how the Rubicon always finished well in shootouts, and you know it wasn't because it was outrunning other quads.

That is very true,I won't even try to say I could even come close to hanging with a prairie on a road but I didn't buy my bike to ride the roads. But I have to quite often and thats when the prairie kiks butt.Things get different when the going gets rough and nasty. If I want to give 'er,this A/C shines(if I'm not played out from the poor steering)lol.
