Default tb power after porting

i want more power off the line and would not like to lose any off my topend, so would porting be a good idea. right now my quad has noting on it, i got bored and took off the plastic, wheels, airbox, pipe, and tomorrow if i get the time the engine. For porting, what all would i have to send in? Also, what power increase can i expect if i still want to run on pump gas. I think reed conversion is next, do they go together or can i only do one? thanks nb

Porting is the most hp gain you can get next to a good pipe. Expect to gain 6-8 hp with porting. If you get it ported make sure you get it done right. Let someone that works with polaris do it. RCR,HPD,AAEN or even Bubba. The absolute best mod you can do is a reed conversion. A good reed conversion with good pipe and carb can beat a piped scrammy. It is the reed conversion that will make it very responsive.

I dont have a digital camera and I have no idea how to post. I am the most computer illiterate person around. I would love to post pics though.

Hpd's reed conversion cost around $1400 dollars for the complete kit and you do have to run race gas.

ok, so the 250 power mod kit looks great, all that i would really need. Only three questions: 1 can i still use pump gas, 2 how much power am i lookin at with out the v-force reeds and with the v-force reeds, and if i went with the banshee reeds for now, could i later get the v-force reeds and still gain power while using pump gas? thanks so much guys!
