Hey guys just got my 04 Yf and I think it is running alittle lean, it pops somtimes when you rev it, cuts out when you hit the gas fast, and tonight my cousin who also got one and having the same probes, started them and the head pipes were glowing red....I called the guys at ronnies but he told me it was fine, how can 2 brand new wheelers run like crap? help guys, anything like this happen to you??? plz help guy dont wanna runin our new quads! thanx!

 

Yes they are running lean from the factory. To fix this put a 165 main 45 pilot 4th clip on needle. It will help the pipe aswell but it will still glow a little bit.

They come lean from the factory, and the head pipe shouldnt be glowing red. Rejet.

Yes, the headpipe should glow red they always have a always will. The Raptors do it too, even after rejetting. Don't worry about the glow.

 

Well tell your dealer he's a dumba$$ and should give you free jets for lieing [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] lol

Just go to your local dealer and buy them seperately, unless you want to pay $50 for a jet. It should only be like $18 for the jets that you need.

The only time I have seen a red hot head pipe is when a friend of mine towed back a banshee in the dunes with his Raptor. Been on many night rides and havent observed a normally red headpipe.

 

I guess you mean the pipe kit? You can do what want but if you want to ride you could go to the dealer get the jets come home put them in and ride.
