How do I tighten chain on 86 250r?

Default How do I tighten chain on 86 250r?

It's a little loose, I need to tighten her up...how do I go about doing this? Thanks

loosen both the allan head bolts on the back of the swing arm...then get a punch and a hammer and beat the carrier downwards..you will see notches in the carrier beside the sprocket where you can stick a punch...

Please don't use a hammer/punch!!!! You will un-necessarily beat up your adjuster.

Those notches are for using a spanner wrench. Get one, they're cheap.

Make sure you leave enough slack and don't take it all out. Need at least 1/2-5/8".

i pull mine back with the allen wrench i use to loosen the bolts. then again....mine doesnt have any o-rings in it right now. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]
