Riding with bent A-arm
#1
Last time I was riding with my son I hit a piece of fallen timber on the trail and it threw me out of control and head on into a tree. From what I can tell the only damage to my quad was a bent front A arm and a broken shifter ****.
The A-arm itself is bent and the long bolt that holds the A-arm is bent as well. I now have about an inch gap at the front of that long bolt where the bushings are. Basically it doesn't look like the wheel can move front to back even though there is a gap at the end of the long retaining bolt. The bend in that long bolt prevents the wheel from having front to back play in it.
I haven't ridden since then and I have a buddy that wants me to go riding this week with his new Grizzly.
It's obvious that having the free play and the bent A-arm aren't ideal but til I get it fixed I really don't know if it's safe to ride it in this condition. Anyone have any ideas about riding with a bent A-arm?

Well, it looks like there won't be any riding for me til I replace the A-arm. After I got it home I can see the arm is cracked at a weld almost completely in two. Hopefully I can find some on Ebay.
