Default LT80 STARTING PROBLEMS

I GOT A 2001 LT 80. WHEN WE FIRST GOT IT IT STARTED FINE. NOW ITS HARD TO START. IF ITS SITS OVER NIGHT IT TAKES FOR EVER TO START. I USALLY HAVE TO TURN THE FUEL **** TO PRIME. EVEN IF IT SITS FOR A COUPLE HOURS ITS HARD TO START. ONCE IT START IT RUNS GREAT. ALSO ONCE IT STARTS. IF YOU TURN IT OFF IT WILL START RIGHT BACK UP. ANY INFO WOULD BE GREAT

1) make sure petcock is shut off overnight.
2)are you getting gas flow? just pull tube from petcock to carb off and see if fuel dribbles in "on" position, or prime position. In prime, fuel should freeflow. in "on", it's supposed to need vacuum to suck fuel. (Is the vacuum line connected between the petcock and carb?).
3)try putting a battery charger on batt., or using a boost (jumper cables). A weak batt. will sound like it wants to start, but just doesn't have the crank. Or, do you have pull start?try that to see how it responds.
4)are you using the choke on cold start?

joker, it is considered impolite to post your message in all capital letters. It appears you are yelling at us

Sometimes, We do need to yell at Confused, but, I usually call his wife and have her do it

And it looks like Confused, has set you on the right path so far Good Luck and welcome to the Forum
