Grizz Vs P700 Vs. BF750
#1
Alright i have a buddy with a grizz 660 slip hmf and k&n he says that he can take a stock p700 in a drag race, i told him i did not believe him. I want to know how things would be from the other side do you guys with the p700 take modded grizz. And what about the Bf, if the p700 is slower than the bf 750. I got to set him straight.

I have raced several griz's and none have come close to beating my 700prairie. The griz motor is a very good single, but it doesn't have the power or torque of the v-twin and the power band is much better a v-twin.

He wont even beat a stock 650. Take him for all you can You know a fool and his money are soon parted he will just give to the next guy willing to take it if you dont. Bet he cant even get it to wheelie.

I would think that the Grizz with those few mods could hang with a stock 650 prairie. The difference between the two stock for stock isn't that much to begin with. I could tell quite a bit of difference with just the HMF and jet kit, and I imagine I could hang with a stock 650. A modded 650, NO, I don't think so, but stock for stock yes. A 700 or 750, NO.
The max HP and torque numbers on the 650 and 660 are almost the same. Like 1 hp difference. The powerband of the 700 is going to be better and more balanced. In all of the 650 vs. 660 races, the kawi always takes the holeshot because of what its got down low and then just holds the lead it got from there without gaining more. Grizzly has a good top end powerband, but not as much as the 650 down low. On a mile stretch or something, I've always heard the Grizz would eventually pass it due to a higher top end, but I think that just varies from quad to quad. Some 650's are faster than other 650's top end and the same goes for the 660's.
