Default YFZ 450 Glowing Head Pipe

I know this has been discussed but some people have said it is ok and some said the quad is running too lean. I just bought a 04 YFZ 450 and have been riding only twice....I put a Alba Pipe kit with k&n filter and jet kit when I went riding tonight my pipe was glowin bright bright red. Should I worry about it or not? Thanks.

Better to be on the rich side instead of lean. Buy a new spark plug & run your quad for about 30 min or so of real good riding then remove your plug & check the color. If it's white your running to lean, if i'ts tan to brown you'll be okay.

If you put the pipe on you must rejet also, you most likly are on the lean side if you haven't. Try a 45 pilot 2.5 turns out. The headpipe will still glow but don't worry, it's normal to an extent.
