kfx400 a-arms and carb question

Default kfx400 a-arms and carb question

Hey wats up. enyways i own a 04 kfx400 and am looking at longer a-arms. i'v never put these on befor so i don't know. how does the linkage work like the stearing tie rods do they fit or do i have to extend them also or do they just bolt right up?? does it matter if i got +2 or +3??? i have and extended axel also. thxs. Also im about to invest into hot cams for it and heard the stock carb just kills the machien. So i would like to know wat size carb i could (should) use thxs for eny and all feedback.

i run a 03 kfx 400 i am from australa so dont have many options when it comes to parts but i run 2.5 a arms wich made 200% difrents any biger and u would run in to problems on the trails the carby come off drz 400 whent strat on ( it has a main pump insted of a sucktion slide heaps more botem end
i put a vortex ignition on it and a bills pipe on it and i dont have two many problems smoking the yamahas but with a revers and a more reliebell motor

Default kfx400 a-arms and carb question

If your a recreational rider, go with Lonestar +2 a-arms. Best all around and Lonestar is great stuff. (www.lsracing.com) You will get everything you need outside of stock to make it work except the longer brake lines. LSR sells those also. I would recommend upgrading the shocks also. If you are going to upgrade your cams, add the DRZE head and base gaskets and Kibble valve springs. Even though everybody seems to like to lean towards the FSR carb, I've been totally happy with the Edelbrock carb. Really easy to deal with and made a big difference when combined with the other upgrades and port job. I think FSR would be best if upgrading the bore size.
