Default Douglas .190 upkeep

Rust on rim thread reminded me. What do you use on aluminum (Douglas .190) wheels to clean and shine them? They need some TLC already.

I polish them up after every big ride with Mothers.

Just did mine tonight, can't beat mothers along with an air die grinder and buffing wheel.

If there is no rust don't use a SOS pad.
I use mothers aluminum polish with a high speed die grinder(you can get a cheap on for about 20bucks) and a assortment of small and medium sized buffing wheels. When i polish mine i take the tire off the quad its a good idea to do both sides of the rim.

BTW, This is very important
Before you start buffing away, make sure the rim is 100% clean, otherwise you just going to scuff up the finish.

I have a die grinder but need to get some buffing wheels, i didnt think i should use sos, there are no rust spots.
What is flitz?
